Life & Work with Y.P.C. B.C.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Y.P.C. B.C..

Y.P.C., we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
i started writing music when i was 4 years old writing rap songs pop songs rock anything that i liked the sound of when my mom passed when i was 12 i got to record my first song and i knew in that moment that i had one purpose and it was to create i started grinding hard until i got a laptop and mic when i was about 14 and just started recording about my sophomore year i started releasing music on soundcloud and it was going crazy around town and it made me feel unstoppable i still do when i was 17 i started performing doing shows out of the state and then my granny got sick it threw me for a loop and i could only focus on her and getting some money because i had graduated high school so i took a break when i was about 19 now im 21 im back with even better music and during that
hiatus me and my friends started a collective called R.L.P.C. we had lexington and louisville in a chokehold we’ve been making so much good music i really do believe we are the future of the industry especially because we work so well together yet shine individually right now i’m doing timbalands contest if you like good music let mine speak for itself and tap in if you like it vote for me ep this month and album in november <3

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
definitely not i’ve been battling mental health and real life problems at the same time since i was 15 me and my dad been going through a lot together my grandma being sick my mom passing and then dealing with the fact im in a market thats set up against me just because i was born here ive had friends switch up people who i thought would be there til the top and on top of all that some really toxic relationships

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
so i describe myself as purely an artist i make music ranging from rap to alternative rock to pop to RnB i don’t really have a specialty other than music i can mix and master pretty well but im still learning from my homies s1im and JaVinniqus im know for my group with my boy Jett we are known as Y.P.C. the young paper chasers we made a collective with JV and s1im called Real Lethal Paper Chasers what sets us apart from everyone around us is versatility you don’t know what we going to make next

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
i think risk taking is a huge part of what i do you won’t make it if you don’t take a risk biggest risk i’ve take would be to believe in myself enough to stay independent
