Today we’d like to introduce you to Taige Hart.
Hi Taige, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey with Brooklynn’s Hart began when I was in seventh grade after realizing how many women and children in my community lacked access to basic necessities. I wanted to do more than simply recognize the need, I wanted to become part of the solution. What started as a small effort to collect and distribute essential items has grown into a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting women and children through donation drives, community partnerships, and acts of service.
As I’ve grown, so has Brooklynn’s Hart. Balancing school, leadership roles, and athletics while running a nonprofit has taught me the importance of resilience, compassion, and consistency. Every event, donation, and connection has reinforced my belief that even small acts of kindness can create meaningful change.
Today, Brooklynn’s Hart continues to be driven by the same mission it started with: empowering women and children by meeting immediate needs while reminding them that they are seen, valued, and supported. Looking back, I’m proud of how far we’ve come, and I’m excited to continue expanding our impact and inspiring others to serve their communities.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting a nonprofit at a young age has not always been easy. One of my biggest challenges was earning people’s trust and showing that I was serious about making a difference despite my age. There were times when finding donations, recruiting volunteers, and balancing the responsibilities of Brooklynn’s Hart with school, extracurricular activities, and everyday life felt overwhelming. Like many nonprofit organizations, funding and expanding our reach have also presented challenges, and not every event has gone as planned. However, each obstacle has taught me to be adaptable, resourceful, and persistent.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Through Brooklynn’s Hart, I dedicate my time to serving women and children by providing essential resources, organizing community outreach initiatives, and creating opportunities for others to give back. I specialize in transforming compassion into action by coordinating donation drives, building partnerships with local organizations, and leading projects that directly support families in need. What I’m most proud of is seeing how Brooklynn’s Hart has grown from an idea I had in seventh grade into a nonprofit that continues to make a meaningful impact in the community. Every family we support and every volunteer who joins our mission reminds me why I started. I believe what sets me apart is my commitment to leading with empathy, purpose, and consistency. As a young founder, I’ve learned that meaningful leadership isn’t defined by age.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success by the positive impact I have on the lives of others rather than by titles, awards, or recognition. Success means staying true to my values, continuing to grow, and making a difference in my community.
