Daily Inspiration: Meet Keonna Bayone

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keonna Bayone.

Keonna, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
In 2016, while still living at home with my mom in Louisiana and a senior in high school, I decided to start my hair business. I was working on a budget and couldn’t really afford to hire a graphic designer. Throughout school, I was a big nerd and always into technology. I took multiple computer and typing classes. So I used these skills to get on my laptop and design my logo and tags. Once I finished, I realized how much I loved building this brand from scratch and watching it come to life. This was the start of my design journey.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
This journey has been far from easy. Entrepreneurship is so spiritual.
I’ve dealt with burnout, disputes from clients that received projects, and just craziness overall.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a brand designer who designs logos, websites, packaging, and flyers. I specialize in creating strategic designs for beauty businesses.

I am known for my clean, timeless designs as well as pretty but fuctionable websites.

I am most provide of being able to help over 300 women build their brands. Plus I’ve been able to work with Jania Meshell, Asia Doll, and Nikki Nicole.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
It’s ok to start over. It’s ok to pivot. It’s ok to take breaks. Give yourself grace. You’re not always going to have everything figured out.
