Today we’d like to introduce you to Mandi Bridge.
Hi Mandi, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
It all started in high school, when I was encouraged by mom (an avid photographer) to take a film photography class. I ended up falling in love with the craft, and majored in Visual Communication Design at Stevenson University. I did freelance photography after graduation; with some of my classmates being my first clients! The more I shot, the more I loved it. I officially launched my Chesapeake Charm Photography 3 years after graduating and have been photographing families, love stories and special moments ever since – over 11 years later!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting a business is always a slow start, so I worked as a school photography company during the week, and ran my business on nights and weekends. In 2020, I was no longer able to sustain both, so I left my job to run Chesapeake Charm Photography full time. The toughest part is being THE boss – there is no one to guide you on your journey or give you a pat on the back when you go above and beyond.

Chesapeake Charm Photography is wedding & portrait photography inspired by the blue skies, calm waters, and soft greenery of the Chesapeake Bay! We are known for our signature timeless-romantic style, and relaxed approach. Our style sits at the cross-section of genuine documentary narrative and the kind of expertly-posed portraits you’ll pass down forever. I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built with my clients. Its truly an honor to be a part of someone’s major lifetime event!
