Hi Jennifer, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began my journey into mind/body awareness and the potential of movement and art to facilitate healing in my undergraduate study at both Wake Forest and Hollins Universities. I created an interdisciplinary major combining visual art and dance as therapeutic tools in the community. After graduation I continued my study and became a Certified Massage Therapist. Through education and experience I developed a deep respect for the profound wisdom of the mind/body/spirit and the many ways it can be accessed for healing through movement and energetic/spiritual modalities. Through my experiences raising highly intuitive/psychically open children I became acutely aware that there was a whole world beyond our physically observable surroundings. I have shared some of these experiences through articles published in Reiki News Magazines and popular Reiki podcasts.
My awareness was expanded further through a series of synchronistic events that led me to try an energy healing session at a local farm, during the Loudoun Farm Tour. This experience was life changing for me. Just that morning I had declared that I was officially going to the doctor to request antidepressants. After just 40 minutes in the practitioners tent I felt so much lighter and brighter that I knew medication was no longer necessary. While my life circumstances had not changed, and I continued on a very challenging path of massive transition and loss – I was able to meet it in a whole new way. Over the next 4 months I had weekly sessions with the practitioner and benefited greatly. My world continued to expand when my horse, Icon, began having issues that could not be explained by any conventional means. As we went from one modality to another, seeming no closer to an answer – someone recommended a local animal communicator. While I had accepted the existence of energy, and even angels by that point, the idea of animal communication seemed pretty far fetched. The person was so emphatic that this practitioner was “the real deal” and that we had nothing to lose, I acquiesced. I count the session with Icon and the incredibly skilled animal communicator as one of the biggest turning points in my life. Without even being present physically or knowing anything about the him, she told me things about Icon she could never have known any other way. She worked with him both through communication and energywork. I watched him transform before my eyes. Through the course of our conversation with him, and the support she was providing energetically, he went from emotionally cold, cautious and suspicious, to walking over, placing his head in my chest and just melting into me. From that moment on he was a different horse – engaged, loving, trusting, cooperative, full of personality and endlessly curious. She explained that he would need regular energetic clearing to support him best, and recommended I receive Reiki training so that I could support him myself, without having to rely on her. A few months later I showed up for my first Reiki course. Once I was attuned and felt the power and potential of the energy moving through me, I couldn’t keep it to myself. Not only did I use it support Icon but I gave Reiki to everyone who would hold still, LOL. I was forever changed and Reiki became infused into every aspect of my life. Every situation was enhanced by the addition of Reiki. My relationship with Reiki continued to evolve and I later became a professional Reiki practitioner and instructor of all levels of Holy Fire Reiki. Passionate about teaching and personal empowerment, and seeing a great need for greater accessibility of Reiki training – I created the Reiki Reimagined Teaching Format, aligning with adult learning principles, maximizing retention, promoting integration of Reiki into daily life, and increasing accessibility for those who could not attend 2-3 long days of consecutive classes. I was thrilled when a new frequency of the Reiki energy came through the ICRT and I was able to incorporate Animal Reiki I/II and Master into my class offerings. Not only are the classes filled with tools and techniques specific to working with animals, but there are also attunements to a specific frequency of Reiki that is even more aligned with their energies. And boy does Icon love it!
My practice further evolved as I discovered that the Reiki energy flowed even more powerfully through my singing voice, and later through instruments as well. I began more formal study in sound healing, allowing the sound to amplify and delivery the Reiki energy in a profound and potent way. What began as infusing sound with Reiki alone, expanded to including angelic and other divine energies with magnificent results. My next expansion was really a return to my roots, and being guided by the energy to incorporate movement as a way of facilitating energy transfer. Though I became a certified Chakradance facilitator, I realized that I was ultimately meant to bring through my own healing modality through intuitive movement. Throughout all of this growth, expansion and discovery I shared my experiences with my dear friend Tava Baird – also on her own path of rapid spiritual expansion. We realized how blessed we were to have each other to share experiences and information – and reflected on how many people were having to navigate such changes alone. We decided to begin sharing our metaphysical conversations with other seekers and in 2024 Mystical Musings Podcast was born. Now starting our 4th season it has been a wonderful way to continue our explorations, while offering our discoveries and insights and the of our guides) to the metaphysical community. What began as a sharing of our combined teachings, quickly developed into an unscripted, live channeling of our guides and an unpacking of the messages they deliver in each week’s episodes. Throughout our collaborations, and those of my husband (also a Reiki Master and sound healer) we began offering in person, and recorded, transformational experiences combining guided meditation, sound healing, intuitive art, ritual and community that became known as The Power of Story Project.
The most recent development in my personal and professional journey, and one that has emerged as a direct result of working with Archangel Michael, is the discovery – or rather deep remembering – of a realm of consciousness, or energetic space, I call Amnivara. (Ahm Nee Var’ ah) It is a living temple of healing energy, filled with divine guides, ancient wisdom and resources to help us remember our divinity, embody our worth and tap into our full potential. I have been guided to share an ever evolving combination of attunements, transmissions, classes, techniques, experiential learning, earth and sky based practices, and more as I receive them. It is a massive leap of faith, and one that requires the utilization of every skill I have acquired thus far (and those that are still developing). I am ever grateful for this wild and magical ride called life. Ever since my introduction to energy work my life has been filled with ever-increasing wonder, mystery and magic. I am excited to see what lies around the bend and how many more ways I will be stretched to expand and discover more of the truth of our existence.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I would say my journey has been anything but smooth – though in retrospect it was clearly divinely led. I find the biggest obstacles to my personal, spiritual and professional development were really my own self doubt. Doubting my ability to receive the guidance of the Reiki energy; doubting that I was capable of developing the intuitive skills that some are just born with; when I did begin receiving guidance -doubting that it was real and not my imagination; doubting that I was worthy to bring through such profound healing energies; so on and so forth. My biggest lessons, and those that have catapulted me forward with the greatest speed were those centered around recognizing and owning my inherent worth. As I utilized Reiki, sound and intuitively guided movement for my own healing I began to dismantle layer by layer the limiting and false beliefs, shame and self criticism. With each layer I removed I discovered more and more of my true self and the the truth of my inherent worth. Worth not based in actions, not earned, but a knowing that I as a spark of the divine, I am worthy of love, joy, connection, safety and peace just by virtue of my existence. The closer I get to the truth of that, the more of my natural gifts awaken and my trust in them grow as my trust in myself grows. This is not a one and done experience, but a continual practice. It has become, not only my personal practice, but one that is at the core of my work and teachings. This is not easy work, and it is greatly enhanced by community and the support of others. I have discovered that one of the most profoundly healing things we can do for another is to reflect back to them their inherent divinity. I am blessed to have close relationships with others who do just that for me, and it has made a world of difference. I am dedicated to being that mirror for others until such a time as they can see it in themselves more clearly.

My work falls into 3 main categories : teaching Reiki and other energetic modalities, providing individual and group energy sessions; and offering energy infused sound recordings for personal and professional use.
I am passionate about teaching Reiki as I feel it offers the ideal foundation for any energetic work one wishes to pursue. From personal healing and support to becoming a professional practitioner in any energetic modality – Reiki is a great place to start. Therefore I teach the full spectrum of Usui/Holy Fire®️ Reiki Courses (I/II, Master and Karuna®️) in addition to the ICRT Animal Reiki Certification Classes, both I/II and Master levels. I offer classes live on zoom to individuals all over the world. I love teaching online classes as it allows for maximum flexibility and accessibility for my students and expands our community beyond our local boundaries.
I also offer energy healing sessions live via zoom, including Angelic Healing and Soul Resonance Sessions. I find that, while many have a hard time at first wrapping their minds around the idea of having a session over zoom – individual energy healing sessions received from the comfort of their home are often most potent and transformative. Clients are able to relax and open more fully and deeply in their own familiar environment. They are free to stay in the energy as long as they wish after the session and can take their time integrating, journalling, resting afterwards. *please note that I use the word “healing” to indicate the types of energy provided – not as a claim of outcome or medical claim of any kind.
A central aspect of my current work is Amnivara (ahm-nee-var-ah)—a living energetic temple of sound, guidance, and transformation. It is an immersive and interactive space of consciousness that can be entered and engaged with. A healing field where individuals reconnect with their inherent worth, deeper knowing, and full potential. Within Amnivara, individuals are invited into direct relationship with guides, elemental forces, and deeper layers of awareness—learning, healing, and co-creating in ways that are unique to each person’s path. The first Amnivara experience one receives includes an attunement from Archangel Michael – who is a primary guide of this work.
What Am I best known for?
I am perhaps most known for using my singing voice to carry the healing energies of Archangel Michael, Reiki and other divine beings and energies. This work is shared through Amnivara.bandcamp, The Power of Story Project, healing energy sessions as was as through spontaneous channeled music weekly through Mystical Musings Podcast.
I am also known for the reimagined structure of my Reiki classes – 4 hours at a time, spaced a week apart, for 4 – 7 weeks depending on the level. I am truly proud of my teaching style and structure and my ability to adapt to the needs of my students. I approach my classes the way I approach my energy sessions. I connect into the energy of the group and my divine guides and allow myself to be led through the class in surrender to the highest good of those present. I am always amazed at the synchronicities and magical connections that are made when I allow myself to be guided in this way. What I believe sets me apart from others is my unique combination of gifts, talents and experience that I weave into a tapestry of experience and healing all my own. In the following of my guides and intuition I have been led to Amnivara, a living temple of sound, energy, divine guides, sacred tools and ancient wisdom. I am not aware of anyone else who is working with this divine temple space, though it it certainly possible there are others.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
From as young as I can remember I have been happiest surrounded by nature and in relationship with a horse. As a child I could be found out in the woods, ankle deep in a creek, climbing trees, or laying on my belly peering over the edge of a hill watching wild turkey. While I grew up as the daughter of a Methodist minister, I have always felt that my personal church would be a barn filled with animals or temple made entirely of nature. I have always been creative and loved all forms of artistic expression from painting, sculpture, mixed media, dance, music, etc. Music has played a central role in my life. I began Suzuki violin at 3yrs old, and gave my first solo vocal performance at the age of 4. I’ve also had a lifelong curiosity about how things work and love to problem solve – especially spatial and mechanical conundrums. My mom swears that even as a baby I spent my time analyzing the mechanics of the crib and trying to figure out how to take it apart. Overall throughout my life I have been one to think outside of the box, look critically and creatively for new and novel solutions, and have always felt a strong sense of responsibility for the care of others and our planet.
