Today we’d like to introduce you to Canisha Pope.
Hi Canisha , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey began about 3-4 years ago in-between my undergrad and beginning my Masters degree program. I wanted to find a new way to expand on my Hospitality services while being able to do something that I love. Becoming a travel agent has allowed me to do this and more.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Its been challenging to say the least. Especially starting out with gaining new clientele, posting on social media and spreading the word through friends and family. On top of a challenging economy with many uncertainties with travel can be challenging as well.
As you know, we’re big fans of CP Experience & Travel. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
CP Experience & Travel is my travel agency business that creates experiences for anyone who is looking to travel and wants more than a basic travel experience. My common specialties are Disney, cruises, family trips (including reunions) solo travel, group travel and Caribbean travel. I pride myself in delivering the best customer service and being able to provide my clients with the best travel experience they can ask for. My planning services are free (with some minor exceptions), and I will have everything to you within a 24-48 hour time frame.
