Hidden Gems: Meet Gloria Fajimolu of Conteraa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gloria Fajimolu.

Hi Gloria, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Conteraa wasn’t something I originally planned to build it was something that grew out of the work I kept finding myself drawn to.

Throughout my work in communications, marketing, and events, I kept running into the same situation: businesses with real passion and great products that just couldn’t communicate what they did in a clear, consistent way. With a background in Mass Communication and a Master’s in Communication Management, I’ve always understood the power of strong messaging and I started to see how even small improvements could make a real difference.

It actually started with me approaching a local business owner and asking if I could manage her social media. She said yes and that one conversation gave me the confidence to keep going. People started noticing the work on her pages, and at the same time, I was actively reaching out to other business owners. Between the inbound interest and the doors I was knocking on, my client base began to grow. That’s really when Conteraa took shape.

From there, it became clear that clients needed more than just social media they needed branding, websites, and marketing strategy. Most of that growth has come through referrals and relationships, working with small businesses, restaurants, commercial property owners and others.

I’m still building, but everything I do is rooted in the same belief: when a business communicates with intention, it shows.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the biggest challenges has been building something from the ground up while staying consistent especially in the early stages when results aren’t immediate. It takes discipline to keep showing up and refining your approach even when things are still taking shape.

As I’ve grown, that challenge has also pushed me to better understand the value of my work from how I price my services to how I structure them and set clear expectations from the start.

Those experiences have really shaped how I run Conteraa today more strategically, more intentionally, and with a focus on building something sustainable.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Conteraa?
Conteraa is a communications and marketing agency built for businesses, nonprofits, and creatives who want to show up with clarity, consistency, and intention.

Our work spans four core areas: social media management, digital marketing and SEO, strategic communications, and special events. That can look like managing and growing a brand’s social media presence, improving how they’re found online, refining their messaging and voice, or planning events that bring their brand to life in a meaningful way.

What sets Conteraa apart is that strategy always comes first. A lot of businesses are given content without a clear direction. My approach is to first understand what a business is actually trying to communicate, and then build everything around that including social media. The work is intentional, not just active.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with a range of clients, from small businesses and restaurants to commercial investors and organizations, and that’s something I’m really proud of. It reflects the flexibility of the work while still keeping each brand distinct.

What I’m most proud of is the trust that’s been built through relationships and referrals. That kind of growth reflects the impact of the work in a way metrics alone can’t.

What I want readers to know is that Conteraa exists for businesses that are ready to communicate better whether that means fully taking social media off their plate, strengthening their brand voice, improving their visibility, or creating experiences that leave a lasting impression.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success to me means progress.

It’s not just about hitting a certain number or milestone it’s about consistently moving forward. Every client I gain, every relationship I build, and every meaningful conversation I have is a step in the right direction.

I also think success includes the setbacks. Growth isn’t linear, and there are always going to be moments that don’t go as planned.
What matters is continuing, learning, and refining your approach.

Even the opportunities that don’t turn into something are still part of that progress there’s always something to take from them and apply moving forward.

For me, success is about growth, consistency, and building something that’s real and sustainable.
