Exploring Life & Business with Wanda Gatson of Wandaful Pieces

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wanda Gatson.

Wanda , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Wandaful Pieces was created from a place of passion, resilience, and purpose.
I’ve always had a love for fashion, but more importantly, I’ve always understood how powerful it feels to look good and feel confident in what you’re wearing.

While working in healthcare—a physically demanding field—I experienced multiple injuries that required surgeries. During that time, I began to reflect on what fulfillment really meant for me and what I wanted my future to look like, especially as I approach retirement. I knew I wanted to build something of my own—something meaningful.

That’s how Wandaful Pieces was born. I spent the last couple of years learning, researching, sourcing quality pieces, and building my brand from the ground up. Every item is chosen with intention. My goal is to offer clothing that helps women—and men—feel confident, seen, and comfortable in their own skin, regardless of size or stage in life.

Today, Wandaful Pieces represents more than fashion. It’s about self-expression, confidence, and embracing who you are—because when you feel good in what you wear, it shows without you having to say a word.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road—but it’s been a purposeful one.

Building Wandaful Pieces while working full-time in healthcare meant long nights, sacrifice, and unwavering discipline. There were challenges at every stage—navigating website limitations, payment processing hurdles, and learning how to show up confidently in digital spaces where visibility doesn’t come easy in the beginning.

Sourcing was another defining moment. I wasn’t just looking for clothes—I was curating pieces that feel intentional, expressive, and worthy of being seen. Finding quality, inclusive options that align with that vision required patience and persistence.

I’ve also had to grow personally—stepping outside of my comfort zone, learning content creation, branding, and trusting my voice as the face behind the brand.

But through every obstacle, my faith has been my foundation. There were moments when things didn’t move the way I expected, but I trusted that God was guiding the process even when I couldn’t see the full picture.

Every challenge refined the vision. It strengthened my confidence, deepened my purpose, and reminded me why I started.

Wandaful Pieces was never meant to be rushed—it’s being built with intention, faith, and grace. And that, in itself, is part of the beauty.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Wandaful Pieces is an online apparel boutique offering thoughtfully curated styles for women and men who want to stand out with confidence and intention. The brand focuses on pieces that feel both expressive and refined—blending comfort, quality, and presence in every selection.

At its core, Wandaful Pieces is about more than clothing. It’s about how you feel when you wear it. Each item is chosen with purpose, designed to help individuals feel seen, confident, and effortlessly put together—whether they’re dressing for everyday moments or special occasions.

What sets Wandaful Pieces apart is the level of intention behind every piece. I don’t just follow trends—I curate looks that make a statement while still feeling wearable and authentic. I also place strong emphasis on offering styles for a range of body types, including curvy women, because everyone deserves to feel confident in what they wear.

I’m most proud of building a brand that reflects both style and substance. From the packaging to the presentation, every detail is designed to create a memorable experience. It’s a reflection of my vision, my growth, and my faith.

Wandaful Pieces represents confidence, intention, and grace. It’s for those who don’t just want to get dressed—but want to be seen.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5–10 years, I see the fashion industry continuing to shift toward individuality, inclusivity, and intentional shopping.

Consumers are becoming more mindful—they’re no longer just buying clothes, they’re investing in pieces that reflect their identity, lifestyle, and values.
There is also a growing demand for quality over quantity. Fast fashion is still present, but more people are looking for pieces that feel curated rather than mass-produced. They want versatility, comfort, and style all in one—something that transitions effortlessly from day to night while still making a statement.

Inclusivity will continue to be a major focus. Women of all sizes are demanding better options, and brands that truly prioritize fit, representation, and confidence will stand out.

I also believe digital presence will play an even bigger role. Social media and online platforms are no longer just marketing tools—they are storefronts, storytelling spaces, and connection points between brands and their audience.

Wandaful Pieces aligns with where the industry is going. The focus on intentional style, confidence, and inclusivity isn’t a trend—it’s the future. And I’m building a brand that grows with that evolution.
