Today we’d like to introduce you to Gessie E Belizaire.
Hi Gessie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Is any one’s story ever really clear….I mean crystal clear about themselves and their overall life?
Huh….
If I were to sit for but a moment to think about it….to some degree, I would have answered without compunction yes, but the linear part to life….that is debateble. If life were a ball, it will have me, many a times heading, as the ball, in directions going up, down, around and around before I got anywhere near where I needed to be.
I was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, yet I grew up living in Rhode Island with my mother, father, older sister and 2 other siblings, who would come in later years. My parents grew us up in the church. The other half of my adulthood was spent in DC, Maryland, and Virginia area where I learned how to live and to make it on my own all while learning to love the crooked smile starring back at me as an unwed black immigrant mother.
During my time in the DMV, there were seasons where I felt like I was just making it and in others where I felt I am not just living but I am thriving. My passion for social justice and advocacy grew and was strengthen from my days on the Quad in RI where I would galvanize anyone in my undergraduate class that would listen to understand and willingly act on the atrosities going on all around us….to go on to raise awareness for the men, women, children, and those with different abilities who lives and voices were conditioned to be complacent, agreeable….silent to know that that they will always matter.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As I am writing this paragaraph right now, there are struggles, but, what would life be like without the struggles that have come or may continue to come along the road.

GB Consulting Group, LLC Is a reputable event planning and consulting firm based in Washington DC that began in 2019 out of a need to help people who find themselves living life on auto pilot who desperstely want to live more purpose filled lives. In its formative years, I as the founder, want to continuously promote curating events held in safe spaces where single professional men and women and couples alike can network, collab form friendships and at times find love. In just three years time of dedicated in person mixers, we have confirmed that we have helped 4 marriages to date to be formed. AMEN.
What sets us apart fro. Other businesses is that we genuinely care. We see each interaction whether it be with a client, vendor, attendee, stakeholder, etc. as a human being with a beating heart who too cried when they first entered the world. We pride ourselves in knowing that we put great emphasis on consulting the heart of the matter in all we do. When coupled with logical head work the results tend to be very pleasing.
