My name is Paschal Akpua. I was born in Lagos, Nigeria, and emigrated to Maryland, United States, at a young age—a place I proudly call home. I was raised in a loving, supportive Christian family that instilled in me the values of integrity, diligence, entrepreneurship, education, and hard work. My parents remain my greatest role models; from an early age, they taught me the importance of discipline, Humility, faith, kindness, and a strong work ethic grounded in prayer.
From my teenage years into adulthood, I have always embodied the mindset of an athlete and a visionary. I played competitive sports such as soccer and football and developed a deep passion for weightlifting, health, and overall wellness. Over the years, I have trained and mentored numerous individuals in the fitness space, helping many achieve significant weight-loss and Muscle building results.
Beyond fitness, my entrepreneurial spirit has always driven me to seek solutions to real-world challenges while creating opportunities and employment within my community. I strongly identify as a Servant-leader—someone committed to uplifting others while leading with purpose and integrity.
My passion for fitness, health, and wellness ultimately inspired the creation of Slim & Sculpt Aesthetics. I have always believed that true confidence begins with feeling strong, healthy, and comfortable in your own body not merely how you look, but how you feel. Through my personal journey and professional experience, I observed countless individuals who were disciplined and consistent in the gym yet still struggled to achieve the results they deserved.
With my extensive knowledge of the fitness industry, I understood how difficult—if not impossible—it is to spot-reduce fat through exercise alone. This realization became the foundation for Slim & Sculpt Aesthetics. The essence of non-invasive body sculpting is its ability to precisely target localized and subcutaneous fat in areas the gym cannot reach, while also addressing cellulite reduction, skin tightening, and full-body contouring—all in a painless, non-invasive manner.

Slim & Sculpt Aesthetics was created to bridge that gap. I wanted to build a space where science-backed, non-invasive treatments complement an active, healthy lifestyle—helping clients enhance their results safely, naturally, and confidently. Every service we offer is rooted in empowerment, self-care, and long-term wellness, because when people feel good in their bodies, it reflects in every area of their lives. Our Main Objective at this Organization is Customer satisfaction and we’re here to Serve our customers. I want to Specifically Thank My Parents and my siblings for their Encouragement, Backend staff, the Entire team including providers of Machine, Training, Certifications, Aestheticians, Mentors, Coaches, Customers for Patronizing our business and referring us to prospective Customers and Most Importantly God.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Before launching Slim & Sculpt Aesthetics, I encountered several challenges that tested both my vision and my resilience. Entering the aesthetics and wellness industry meant navigating limited access to capital, complex regulatory requirements, and the need to establish credibility in a highly competitive market. There were many moments of uncertainty—learning the business side of operations, securing the right equipment, and having the courage to step into entrepreneurship without any guarantees. One of the most difficult obstacles was financing. I visited multiple banks seeking a business, Grant and was informed that one needs at least two years of operating history in the same business and a Threshold revenue to qualify. That moment was discouraging—because it raises a real question: how are visionaries and entrepreneurs expected to create businesses if initial capital is Almost inaccessible? It was a tough reality, and honestly, it hurt. but I didn’t give up. I leaned on my support system—my parents believed in my vision and assisted me financially. I also picked up extra shifts, saved relentlessly, and stayed disciplined. I chose execution over excuses, and step by step, the vision became reality. Another Issues that we initially faced was finding Reliable staff that were committed to the service. Nonetheless, you just have to continue working and not given up
Today, our purpose (The Team) goes beyond building a business. we (the team) want to inspire young people to believe that entrepreneurship is possible—regardless of where you start. Building something meaningful is not easy; the journey will test your resilience, discipline, and patience. There will be setbacks, self-doubt, and moments when quitting feels easier than continuing.
But success is not about perfection or privilege—it’s about persistence. Hard work, consistency, and belief in your vision are what transform ideas into impact. If you’re willing to stay resilient, keep learning, and put in the work, you can build something powerful, sustainable, and meaningful—not just for yourself, but for your community as well.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
My number one piece of advice for finding a mentor and building strong networks is this: be valuable before you network. One of my favorite scriptures reinforces this mindset. Proverbs 22:29 teaches that a person who is diligent and skilled in their work will stand before kings, not ordinary men. To me, that verse is a reminder that excellence attracts opportunity. As entrepreneurs, we must first master our craft. Understand the intricacies of your business—both internal and external—and commit to being exceptional at what you do. Networking is most powerful when you bring value to the table. Seek connections not just to receive, but to contribute.
What has worked for me is a combination of prayer, strong systems, diligence, loyal customers, mentorship, and family support. I also believe in being intentional about mentorship—find individuals who have already succeeded in the field you aspire to enter, study their blueprint, and apply their systems with discipline.
When you lead with value, consistency, and humility, the right mentors and networks naturally align with your journey.
