Today we’d like to introduce you to Christian Adolph.
Hi Christian, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Maryland and graduated from Towson University at a time where the job market was scarce. I looked for employment for six months before I decided to start my own business and be my own boss. I bet on myself by taking my savings account and starting a construction business in 2009. That did great until the year after COVID when prices of materials began to double, causing prices to skyrocket and demand to drop. I began looking for alternatives that would be more of a “need” and not a “want’ and something busy in the winter time since that is when construction was slow. After months of research and deep-dives, I chose Medicare to be able to help seniors navigate the tough Medicare maze, which is unlike any other insurance out there. From starting in Medicare, I was quickly offered a retail store, but had to learn the Affordable Care Act, insurance for under 65 years old. I had to do a crash course on this new system, new products, new carriers, more testing, etc. I quickly climbed the ladder and became a valuable asset to the community finding what networks clients doctors accepted, what carriers offered their prescriptions at the best price and what plan best suite their needs for the upcoming year. My 1st full year devoted to helping those with health insurance, led me to win the Maryland Health Connection’s Top Broker Award in 2025, out of 2,500 brokers. I still help seniors navigate the tough Medicare options and it’s an honor to receive third generation referrals within the same family now. Growing up, my Mom always thought I would be a Doctor, since I liked to help people, but science was not my favorite subject to say the least. With Adolph Benefits Consulting, I’m able to help people make critical healthcare decisions without having to diagnose them or perform procedures on them.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It was not a smooth road by any stretch of the imagination. After finally deciding what I was going to do, the steps to get there were daunting, and I thought about abandoning it altogether at times. Beyond normal business start up activities, this required a lot of legal documents, background checks, Federal government exams that require a high percentage to pass, state licensing and testing, and every carrier has there own testing you must pass (I am licensed with over 20 carriers). This repeats every year around the summer time.

How do you think about happiness?
Getting calls and emails from clients that the plan we assisted enrolling them into had saved them thousands over their previous plan or an alternative. Hearing how frustrating it was trying to decide what to do with Medicare and having no clue how it all tied together and we were able to break everything down and effectively communicate their options, making them feel like they confidently chose their plans and understand how they work along side one another.
