Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephen Tant.
Stephen, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I began my career working southern Annapolis in the hvac industry. I worked for a small family owned company that specialized in boilers radiant heat and other forms of hvac service and install. Upon my departure after two years there I started with a local plumbing company just south of Baltimore city. I then jumped in and out of both trades for several years to be able to obtain both plumbing/gas fitting and hvac unrestricted licenses. The last company I worked for I was there for one week and realized it was time for me to go out on my own with my master licenses. 2016 I was just starting out on my own and around 2017 I became a legit company. Since January 2017 I have built the company that stands today. This year we will be entering our 9th year of business. I am currently a board member of HACCMD and looking to further my knowledge and obtain a master electricians license. My goal is to not stop growing and learning to be versatile in every part of my business I can be.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The business since the start has been great as I believe taking care of my customers have always been my top priority as well as performing to the best of my abilities and knowledge. So of course comes in with growth and with growth expansion. This is where It has been a tough road of building the business and managing people. Not everyone has the same vision or operates like I would need. I have had numerous employees throughout the business life and up until this year is when it started to get smoother and easier since revamping the business and brining on some top guns such as Miranda Dull my office manager.

We are a locally owned and operated in South Baltimore Plumbing Gas fitting and HVAC service and installation company. We specialize in residential and light commercial hvac installs and service, plumbing fixture service and installs, sewer and water main replacements, etc. We strive for the best work for our customers with over 1200+ 5 star reviews on multiple platforms to show for it.
How do you think about happiness?
Being a good boss makes me happy. I am able to provide full health insurance for my employees as well as give them bonuses that they deserve as they are the backbone to the company. Paid time off and spiffs are just part of some of the bonuses. I’m also happy to share my well of knowledge with the younger generation of tradesmen whom are seeking a career in the industry.
