Hi Rockell, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
As an entrepreneur, I’ve always been passionate about building generational wealth. My investment journey began in 2017 when I started investing in cryptocurrency, which soon led to my interest in real estate when I was considering more investment strategies.
As I was managing my own branding agency and working in several W-2 roles, I began supporting real estate companies, including a solar panel provider and a kitchen and bathroom remodeling firm by offering administrative and marketing services. That experience introduced me to the real estate industry and inspired me to transition into property management.
In 2020, I began my journey as a property manager, overseeing 126 rental units across Baltimore City and County. During that time, I also learned the art of real estate wholesaling, connecting distressed property owners with investors dedicated to revitalizing neighborhoods. Through this work, I’ve had the privilege of helping transform neglected blocks into thriving communities, and assisting families in finding homes to rent or purchase. I truly enjoy being part of this full circle of change and witnessing the positive impact it has on the community. With wholesaling I clean up the city one vacant at a time!
In 2021, I began teaching family and friends how to wholesale real estate, and soon expanded to offering lessons to the public. I host virtual one-on-one sessions and seasonal group classes, and have successfully taught more than 25 individuals, many of whom have gone on to become realtors, homeowners, and even real estate lenders.

In 2022, I founded Properties & Company LLC after beginning to take on my own clients, and the business quickly grew to managing over 170 rental properties and counting. As the company expanded, I decided to create a full-service HUB for real estate investors, offering everything from property management to individual services such as tenant placement, evictions, maintenance, rental turnovers, investment property renovations, permit assistance, landscaping, virtual admin support, and more.
I’m truly grateful for the growth, guidance, and mentorship I’ve received from Equity Warehouse and Kingdom Vision Consulting along the way. Today, Properties & Company continues to grow, taking on new management contracts, assisting with tenant placements, and helping investors buy and sell properties!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey has had its ups and downs, but overall, I’ve been fortunate to have a relatively smooth path. My biggest challenges have been keeping up with the constantly changing laws in housing and the process with the courthouse. Early on, I wasn’t sure where my first management contracts would come from, so I spent time researching the best strategies to grow my portfolio. It was a slow start, but once I connected with more investors and put myself in the right rooms, I became the go to person for property management support.
With wholesaling, I quickly learned that some deals are much more challenging than others. Over time, I developed strategies to handle tough deals more efficiently and with less stress. Not every deal is a good one, just as not all money is worth the effort, and learning this the hard way taught me valuable lessons. These experiences not only strengthened my business but also improved the way I teach others, so no struggle, no progress.

We are a full service property management company offering individual services as well such as tenant placement, evictions, maintenance, rental turnovers, investment property renovations, permit assistance, landscaping, admin support and more. We also serve as a HUB for real estate investors, helping them expand their portfolios by acquiring new properties or assisting with the sale of existing ones.
Investors appreciate that we stand apart from other management companies by handling their entire property portfolio, not just day-to-day tenant management and rent collection. They also value that we can assist them in acquiring additional properties to grow their investments.

What’s next?
After teaching so many people, I started a Discord community called The Wholesale Club where I continue to share tips and essential information for wholesaling. I plan to keep teaching real estate wholesaling while simultaneously growing my company.
Soon to come, I’m excited to host our annual real estate events at major arenas, starting with the Orioles, Nationals, Capitals, Wizards, Commanders, and Ravens! Real estate professionals from across the DMV will be invited to network over a game with free food and drinks. Each event will also include a property tour and an educational session before the game.
In the future, I plan to purchase my own rental properties and renovate entire blocks at a time.
