Cynthia Weatherly of Washington DC on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Cynthia Weatherly shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Cynthia , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What is a normal day like for you right now?
Currently, a typical day involves working on my books and preparing them for sharing with others. It’s a creative process that keeps me engaged and motivated. I’m enjoying the journey of bringing my stories to life and look forward to readers experiencing them.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello, I’m Cynthia Weatherly, author of two special books that aim to inspire and captivate. As a storyteller, I’m drawn to untold experiences and the power of creative expression. My writing style is infused with a bold vision, and I weave poems about branding into my narratives. I’m excited to share my stories with you, hoping they’ll resonate with readers in meaningful ways. Through my work, I aim to leave a lasting impact and spark connections that transcend boundaries.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
The moment I started writing my own book has shaped me to explore the world differently. I became more sensitive about situations. In my book “Unkind Renewal, “exploring grief, divorce, complex relationships, and emotional aftermath has been a profoundly impactful moment.

Reflecting on such moments and events helps me to process with my emotions and gain new insights.

“Unkind Renewal” has given me a new perspective on prioritizing what’s truly important and approaching life with empathy and humor. I recognize more the value of laughter, opening discussion, and caring responses in navigating life’s challenges. I think that it’s a beautiful takeaway for my first Ebooks!
I consider my writing powerful, and I love to share diverse perspectives and foster empathy. By exploring untold stories and experiences through a novel and narratives, it can help any readers to connect with others and broaden their understanding of the world.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self that confidence and understanding take time, as well, and that “she should not be scared”.What I mean by that is the reflection on my personal growth journey and the lessons I’ve learned along the way. I would consider sharing my wisdom, perhaps through my book, “How She Does It.”

When I say “confidence and understanding take time,” it implies that I’ve learned the importance of patience and self-compassion. I’m acknowledging that personal growth is a process that unfolds over time, and it’s normal to face challenges and uncertainties along the way.

The phrase “she should not be scared” suggests that I’m encouraging my younger self (and perhaps others) to be brave and resilient in the face of uncertainty. I’m recognizing that fear and self-doubt can be natural obstacles, but they don’t have to hold you back.

Maybe I should elaborate on what specific aspects of confidence and understanding I’m referring to? Is there a particular area of my life where I’ve experienced significant growth or challenges that you’d like me to share with you?

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes. The “public version” of Cynthia Weatherly has been curated to represent my creative work, authenticity, ease in developing creativity, and my values, such as the ability to express myself with a unique style and a sense of writing. My marketing guidelines are explored in my book, “How She Does It,” where I explain branding concepts and develop authenticity through personal branding.

In “How She Does It,” I promote my ideas of authenticity to the public, considering branding a valuable tool for achieving goals. It’s all about showcasing your real strengths and values while being true to yourself and your audience.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
Being in nature is incredibly grounding. The peacefulness of parks, the sounds of birds chirping, and the scent of fresh air can be very therapeutic. I appreciate the enjoyment and energy that come with finding solace in these moments. Connecting with nature is very important to me.
