We recently had the chance to connect with Jasmine Price and have shared our conversation below.
Jasmine, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Something outside of work that has been bringing me joy lately is rebranding my business after going through a difficult obstacle of becoming a single mom and not seeing my future clearly or how I expected things to be. After a lot of self-reflecting and trying to figure out which direction I want to go in my career, I have concluded that my purpose is running my businesses because of my passion to help others.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Jasmine Price and I am the owner of Jas Luxe Beauty LLC. Jas Luxe Beauty is a one-stop beauty shop where confidence and self-care meet. Founded by a resilient woman who turned pain into purpose, this rebrand blossomed during a transformative chapter of life. I stepped fully into my calling- rebranding and expanding my vision to empower others through beauty. As a nail educator, body sculpting specialist, and provider of needless lip fillers, I offer clients both skill and safety. My cruelty-free cosmetic line, featuring lip glosses and lip liners, is designed for bold, beautiful individuals who care about what ingredients go on their skin. I am currently expanding both my clientele and product range, continuing to build a beauty empire that reflects strength and style.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
That I am capable of only doing one thing I enjoy and having to stick to it. The sky is the limit and everyone should tap in to all of their interests, how will you know you like something without trying first?
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me resilience, patience, inner strength and most important to me – gratitude. Success validates your efforts and suffering reveals your essence. Suffering forces you to confront and grow though pain rather than avoid it. In suffering, you learn how to sit with discomfort, how to rebuild when everything falls apart and how to appreciate even the smallest wins. Success may build your confidence but suffering builds your character.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that I love helping others and bringing others together in the same room. They would say what really matters to me is extending my love, support and confidence to others and always making someone laugh or smile even in their toughest moments.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
The story that I hope people tell about me is that I always believed the sky was the limit and never limited myself to anything in this life. No matter what life threw at me, I never stayed down for long. I always rose gracefully and fiercely, and used my story to inspire others. I hope they say how I made people feel seen, beautiful and worthy, not just on the outside, but on the inside no matter if it was a stranger or someone close to me. I hope they say how my light continued to shine through every person I touched!
