We recently had the chance to connect with Scott Faust and have shared our conversation below.
Scott, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Outside of work, my greatest joy comes from spending time with my two American Foxhounds—Rosey Girl and Beau William. They bring laughter, unconditional love, and a whole lot of personality into my life. Whether we’re taking long walks, sharing quiet moments at home, or getting into a little harmless mischief, they remind me daily of the simple pleasures that make life sweet. They’re not just pets—they’re my family, my companions, and my biggest cheerleaders a long with my wife Joan and her two Westies Fiona Marie and Duncan William.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Scott Faust, a travel agent and founder of Destinations 24/7. With over three decades of experience in the industry, I’ve built my brand around creating unforgettable travel experiences with heart. From tropical getaways to community-focused fundraiser cruises, I specialize in turning trips into meaningful memories. What makes my approach unique is the blend of professional expertise, a deep commitment to accessibility, and a touch of playful creativity—think cartoon-style graphics, teaser campaigns, and motivational posts that spark wanderlust. I’m also passionate about inclusive travel and am currently launching a new company dedicated to helping travelers with disabilities and service dogs explore the world safely and comfortably. Whether I’m mentoring fellow agents or connecting communities through events like our upcoming Chamber at Sea cruise, I believe travel should be both impactful and joyful.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
The person who saw me clearly before anyone else did is my wife, Joan. She’s always seen the heart behind the hustle, the passion I pour into every trip I plan, and the values that guide the way I connect with others. Long before Destinations 24/7 had a name, Joan believed in the vision and the impact it could have. Her support and insight have been my foundation, and I’m incredibly grateful for how she continues to encourage every step of my journey.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There honestly hasn’t been a time I almost gave up. If I had, I wouldn’t be here right now. This journey—through the ups, the pivots, and all the learning curves—has been driven by purpose and passion. Giving up was never part of the itinerary.

The public version of me is very much the real me. What you see is what you get—passionate about travel, driven by community, and always ready to bring a little humor into the mix. Whether I’m behind the scenes planning a cruise or speaking on behalf of Destinations 24/7, I lead with heart and purpose. I’ve never been about putting on a show—I’m about showing up for people and helping them discover the world in ways that are meaningful and memorable.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
If I retired today, the thing my clients would miss most is me. Not just the travel expertise—but the care, the creativity, the connection. I don’t just book trips, I build experiences. I bring personality into every detail, whether it’s customizing a fundraiser cruise or designing a countdown tee. My clients know that when they work with me, they’re getting someone who shows up fully—for their dream vacations and for the vision behind them.
