Inspiring Conversations with Jonathan Knox of President St Realty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathan Knox.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I came to Real Estate via Hospitality. I was a hospitality professional for many years and was fortunate to be pinned as a member of the international concierge association, Les Clefs d’Or. The skills I learned in the hospitality industry were highly transferable to being a Realtor. I’ve always enjoyed being of service to people whether it’s helping them find the best restaurant for an amazing dining experience or their forever home.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The most difficult thing for me was financially transitioning from receive a bi weekly paycheck to being 100% commission. I was fully prepared to hustle and work hard for myself but it took some time for it to click with me that “OH now you are completely and totally responsible for your income!” It definitely required a major change of thought process.
