Life & Work with Andy Li of Baltimore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andy Li.

Hi Andy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I moved to Baltimore for grad school after finishing my undergrad at NC State.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I often struggle with confidence in my work. There are always voices—both internal and external—telling you what design should or shouldn’t be. I sometimes find it difficult to strike a balance between being expressive and maintaining clear, effective communication—something I’m actively working on. I’m also learning not to confine myself to a specific style or aesthetic, so I can grow more freely as a designer.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a Graphic Designer specializing in identity design, art direction, branding, and publication. Lately, I’ve been drawn to exploring graphic design as a physical artifact—something tactile and enduring. I enjoy working with my hands and bringing ideas to life through making.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
