Rising Stars: Meet Noah Pierre of Baltimore county

Today we’d like to introduce you to Noah Pierre.

Hi Noah , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I picked up the guitar at the age of three through my father! My parents put me in lessons at age 6 and I eventually ended up going to college for music as well. I’ve been a professional musician since I was 15.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There were some struggles along the way. I had to go through quite a bit to find my voice as an artist, being a lover of as many styles of music as I am. There were also a handful of personal struggles that came into play.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a guitarist, singer and bassist. I write, record and perform my own original music in a band called Noah Pierre Band. I also perform and record as a sideman for a handful of other artists and I teach private lessons on the side. I am most proud of the times I’ve been able to connect other artists to each other or performing opportunities. I did not always have that when I was starting out as a performer, so it brings me a lot of joy to do that for anyone I can. I also book the music for some venues in town.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was introverted as a kid. I was always interested in mostly just music. I played some sports casually
