Today we’d like to introduce you to Bradley Zisow.
Hi Bradley, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I did my 1st wedding at 17 and that was it for me. 32 year later, we specialize in event photography and I still love it!
I’m a Baltimore native who’s been behind the lens for over 30 years, capturing everything from quiet glances to the wildest dance floor moments. What started as a passion for photography quickly grew into a full-time calling. Early on, I realized that building a great team would be just as important as mastering the craft itself—so I surrounded myself with talented creatives who share the same eye for detail and heart for storytelling.
Together, we built Bradley Images, a boutique photo and video studio that blends timeless technique with a modern edge. We don’t just show up with cameras—we become part of your day, connecting with families and making everyone feel comfortable and seen. To me, great photography isn’t just about light and composition—it’s about people, connection, and trust. That’s what we bring to every event, and that’s what’s kept us going strong for decades.
At the end of the day, I want my clients to feel like they’re working with an old friend—just one who happens to take killer photos.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When I first started, there was nobody like me. I was young and shooting medium format high end photos. I was fun and energetic and then you had the old school photographers as my competitors. After digital came out, competition multiplied by 300X. Now there are over 30,000 photographers in stones throw. This has become an extremely saturated market.
We’ve been impressed with Bradley Images Photo and Video, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Bradley Images, we specialize in high-end wedding and event photography and cinematography with a focus on storytelling, emotion, and connection. We’re known for our ability to blend into a celebration like family—capturing real, unscripted moments while making our clients feel completely at ease. Based in Baltimore, we’ve been documenting love stories and milestone moments throughout Maryland and the Delmarva Peninsula for over 30 years.
What sets us apart is our approach: we combine the artistry of traditional photography with a modern, cinematic eye—always using the latest technology but never losing sight of the human connection. Our team isn’t just talented behind the camera—they’re warm, intuitive, and deeply invested in making every client feel seen and celebrated.
We’re most proud of the relationships we’ve built over the years. We’ve photographed siblings, cousins, friends of past clients—and that level of trust and loyalty means everything to us. I just booked my first event where I photographed the bat mitzvah, wedding and on 2027 I will be photographing her daughters bat mitzvah. Our work doesn’t just live on walls or in albums—it becomes part of a family’s legacy. For us, that’s the true measure of success.
Whether it’s a wedding, mitzvah, or once-in-a-lifetime event, our goal is always the same: to create authentic, beautiful imagery that reflects your story in the most genuine way possible.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Luck has definitely played a role—but I think of it more as being in the right place at the right time and being prepared when the opportunity comes. Early in my career, I had a few lucky breaks—like photographing a wedding that led to referrals for an entire friend group, or connecting with a planner who became a longtime collaborator. But those lucky moments only turned into something lasting because I showed up ready, worked hard, and treated every client like they were the most important one.
There’s also been tough luck—weather challenges, last-minute changes, things out of our control—but even those moments have shaped our team’s ability to adapt and deliver under pressure. Over the years, I’ve learned that luck might open the door, but consistency, relationships, and passion are what keep the business growing.
So yes, I’m grateful for the lucky breaks—but I’m even more proud of what we’ve built through years of showing up, doing the work, and caring deeply about the people we serve.
