Today we’d like to introduce you to Tony Summons.
Hi Tony, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started in the construction industry around 2017 and worked for a few licensed contractors. I had a few bad experiences which motivated me to make a change. Since I previously had my Home Improvement Salesman license, Maryland Realtors License and experience dealing with residential properties and renovations I made the decision to use my existing skills and knowledge and make a change. Around January of 2022 after truly praying and consulting with family I decided to pursue becoming a contractor. I studied for the test, passed, and ultimately earned my Contractor’s License . By June,2022 B- More Construction, LLC was established. I have been in business going on 3 years although it’s been challenging at times, we were able to triple our volume of business. I’m very appreciative of all the people I work with daily and all the great customers I’ve had the pleasure of doing business with. I give honor and praise To The Most High for granting me the ability to help people!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My struggles started in July 2022, while the business was in it’s infancy, with the death of my grandmother who was the matriarch of our family. It was a very difficult time in my life but I managed to overcome. Pricing out jobs was a struggle because there is lots of competition out there and I had to really make sure that my prices were fair but on point enough to cover materials, labor and profit. Material cost has increased significantly in the last 2-3 years, and continue to rise, which has been a challenge.

I’m a General Contractor that works on residential and commercial projects. We specialize in interior home renovations including kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, drywall, painting as well as exterior home renovations like siding and roofing. We believe in constant communication with our customers, being transparent, and delivering quality service to all of our great customers.
What’s next?
Overall we plan to be a household name to our community that we serve. Always improving on our craftsmanship with each project we are fortunate to have. I believe being Best In class will get us there!
