Today we’d like to introduce you to Karin Mitchell
Hi Karin, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
How My Story Began
My story begins with my parents. As therapists and dedicated volunteers, they modeled a life of service—not for recognition or accolades, but because they believed in making a difference. Their lives were guided by family, service, and faith, and they showed me, through their actions, what it truly means to support and uplift others.
Following in their footsteps, I became a therapist and later earned certification as a life and wellness coach. Over the years, I have come to understand that my deepest purpose is to help others in meaningful ways—whether through counseling, coaching, or simply being present and listening.
I believe that small acts of service can have a profound impact. Sometimes, it’s a conversation that helps someone feel seen. Other times, it’s guiding a client to a moment of clarity that changes their path forward. Whatever form it takes, my work is rooted in the belief that we all have the power to support, uplift, and empower one another—one moment at a time.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Challenges Along the Way
Like everyone else, my life has been a journey of highs and lows. One of my biggest challenges has been navigating chronic health issues. Through countless appointments and tests, I learned an invaluable lesson: we must be our own health advocates.
I came to realize that true wellness starts with tuning into our bodies—listening to the signs they give us about when we are thriving, when we are in pain, and when we need more care. When we develop this level of self-awareness, we can communicate more truthfully about what we need and work in partnership with our medical providers instead of passively receiving treatment.
This perspective has deeply shaped my approach to coaching, mindfulness, and wellness. I believe in living a life that is in balance—body, mind, and spirit. My personal journey has reinforced the idea that we are not just seeking health; we are seeking a full, vibrant, and meaningful life where we actively participate in our own well-being.
This lesson is something I carry into my work every day, helping others tune into themselves—whether through life coaching, mindfulness, or meditation—so they, too, can create a life of balance, clarity, and fulfillment.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
About Karin Mitchell Coaching
At Karin Mitchell Coaching, I help people get clear on what they truly want—both now and in the future—and guide them in creating a path to achieve it. My work is centered on helping clients remove the fears that hold them back from living a life of deep purpose and meaning. Through our coaching process, I help individuals uncover their core values and character strengths, empowering them to tune out external noise, eliminate unnecessary clutter, and focus on what truly matters.
I specialize in working with adults who feel stuck in midlife, particularly those who have achieved financial stability in their careers but feel unfulfilled—what many refer to as the challenge of “golden handcuffs.” These individuals often know there is something more for them, but they need support in defining what that “more” looks like and how to pursue it with confidence.
What sets me apart is my ability to listen deeply and respectfully, ask powerful and thought-provoking questions, and recognize the immense strengths and potential in each of my clients. My coaching approach is grounded in mindfulness, self-awareness, and a belief in the inherent goodness of every person.
Beyond coaching, I am passionate about mindfulness and meditation. I have developed mindfulness curricula for schools, teach meditation to both adults and children, and lead seminars and workshops on how mindfulness can create a more intentional, fulfilling life.
