Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor And Valerie Whimsy Gossip
Hi Taylor and Valerie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Whimsy Gossip began as a simple idea nearly two years ago, sparked by the shared passion of two longtime best friends for the A Court of Thorns and Roses series. It reignited our love for reading, and from that spark, we decided to create a podcast where we could explore the books we cherished, dive deep into characters, and use storytelling as a form of escapism.
We’d always dreamed of bringing these beloved stories to life through film, and in October 2023, we were lucky enough to make that dream a reality. We teamed up with our longtime friend Steven from Cinegach Studios to film Chapter 54, our very first nonprofit, fan-made short film. This project not only allowed us to experience our vision firsthand but also launched us into the world of fan films, helping us build a strong presence within the book community online. It also opened the door for us to bring even more fan-funded films to life.
Now, with three films under our belt and a fourth one set to shoot in Baltimore this April, Whimsy Gossip continues to grow, fueled by the passion and support of our incredible community.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey hasn’t always been easy. As creators of nonprofit fan films, we rely heavily on donations and external support to bring these stories to life. One of our greatest challenges is raising enough funds to tell these stories in the way they truly deserve to be told. But, the passion we and the book community have to tell these stories fuels us to do these stories justice.

We are incredibly proud of both our podcast and fan films. Our goal is to encourage others to consider different perspectives, while diving into stories that feature characters with rich depth and complexity. We love exploring narratives that offer more than just surface-level connections, and we’re passionate about creating content that sparks thought and conversation.
What’s next?
We plan to keep growing our podcast and expanding our brand, with the goal of showcasing stories that allow us—and our listeners—to escape reality through the magic of fantasy, even if just for a little while.
