Rising Stars: Meet Weekends At Noon Jimmy Jester, Colin Fales, Andy Hagan, Nick Vitek of Baltimore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Weekends At Noon Jimmy Jester, Colin Fales, Andy Hagan, Nick Vitek

Hi Weekends at Noon, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
We formed in 2022, assembled by our drummer, Jimmy Jester. We all came from different backgrounds and experiences, brought together over a shared love of music. We started out just as a couple of dudes who knew Jimmy, and quickly became family. We played twice a week in a small backyard shed, never really expecting this to go anywhere. We truly were content just hanging out, playing a couple songs with each other, and going home. It was all we needed for a sense of fulfillment and creative outlet. Everything changed when an old friend asked us to play at a frat party for him. Being able to play out in front of other people for the first time was a truly surreal experience that inspired us to continue to write our own original music, as well as to share it by playing it in fun and safe environments. Everything we do is on our own terms, and we remain extremely grateful for the opportunities and sense of community among our fellow Baltimore artists.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Our biggest struggles I would say are balancing our lives as musicians with our 9-5 jobs. All 4 of us are blue collar workers, and our schedules are packed and taxing day to day. Our love of music and of each other gives us something to look forward to at the end of the day, and that’s what’s truly most important. Everyone needs something to look forward to. Life is usually at its best from 5-9 rather than 9-5 if you know what I mean. On the flip side of that, it’s been an interesting endeavor to learn the ins and outs of the music business. At this point its almost like having two full time jobs! Everything we do is for fun, and it’s taken us some time to strike a balance between sticking to our roots and goofing around, and treating the band as a brand. But even that has become enjoyable; I don’t really think the struggles matter as much when you take so much pleasure in what you do. The road is as smooth as you let it be.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We put as much of ourselves into our music as possible. We have all been passionate musicians for our entire lives, and being able to bounce ideas off of each other and learn from one another has been a songwriters dream. I love our music, but what I’m most proud of is the small community we’ve built around it. This isn’t just a hobby, its our passion; our purpose. I love connecting with our fellow local musicians and artists to build each other up, as well as the beautiful people who come out to see us in the first place; It’s all so intimate and familiar. It’s most important to us to give back and show love to the community we’re so lucky to be a part of. We’ve met so many incredible people and built relationships that will be cherished for a lifetime. We are eternally grateful for the opportunities we’ve had, and elated at what the future has in store.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
All are welcome into our family. All my life I’ve never felt such a sense of belonging and purpose, and it’s super important to us to try and spread that warmth to anyone who needs it. We are always looking for new people to collaborate and hang out with (bonus points if you like Spongebob). Honestly, I don’t even care if you come out and see us; just go to local shows. The Baltimore music scene is thriving and there are countless local artists that deserve your support.
