Today we’d like to introduce you to Ameira Kb
Ameira, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Growing up, I’ve always had a knack for creativity and fashion as a whole. I would always get in trouble for cutting up my grandmothers socks to make clothes for my dolls, and even drawing on walls ( lol ). In 2020 I started my graphic design business “Glamorous Graphics” which allowed me to express my creativity while also getting paid, but my passion has always been fashion since a young age. Last January I decided to get serious about my true passion and I made a business plan to launch my own handbag line “AMEIR” and that will be launching February 1st of this year.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting a business is never easy. There’s so many small things that go into it that no one could have prepared me for. With my first business, “Glamorous Graphics” everything was digital so it was such much easier! With “Ameir” I’m doing things that I never even thought of, but even the stress is somewhat rewarding because this is something that I’m building for myself.
We’ve been impressed with Ameir, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Ameir will not only be a handbag line, but a brand that believes in celebrating the essence of individuality. Our name, an acronym for “Admiring My Existence in Reality” inspires you to embrace your authentic self, despite the expectations and facades of not only society, but social media as well.
The name Ameir is not only a tribute to my own identity but also a nod to my father’s name. Each handbag is a reflection of my passion for fashion and a commitment to encouraging others to love themselves unapologetically.
For me, no outfit is truly complete without a handbag. It’s more than an accessory; it’s a statement of who you are. With Ameir, we strive to create pieces that not only elevate your style but also resonate with your inner strength and authenticity. I believe that every day is an opportunity to admire your existence in reality and I want Ameir to reflect that.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Each person has their own idea of “ risk taking “. Personally, a risk that I’ve taken this past year was temporarily shutting down my graphic design business to focus on Ameir. This was something that I was contemplating for a long time and has helped me extremely, so the risk was definitely worth it!
