Hi Ladies, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Our story began back in 2010 when we met in college. Over the years, our friendship blossomed into what we like to call ‘sisterfriends’—a bond that’s deeper than just being friends. We’d always have these unfiltered, meaningful conversations over text, and we used to joke that our thread could be a podcast because we always went there—whether it was life, love, or everything in between.
Last year, Raye brought up the idea of actually turning those conversations into a podcast, and it just clicked. We both love writing and storytelling, so it felt like the perfect way to combine our strengths while creating something meaningful.
That’s how HER Side of the Story: Love Lines, Life Lines, and Everything in Between Podcast was born. We wanted to create a space where women could feel seen, heard, and understood—a place to share the real, unfiltered experiences that so many of us go through but rarely talk about. It’s all about women empowerment, giving practical advice you can actually use, and building a community where we can all feel safe to tell our side of the story. Watching it resonate with listeners has been an incredible journey, and we’re so excited to keep growing together!”
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been such an exciting journey so far! Starting this podcast has brought us so much joy and given us the opportunity to create something meaningful together. Of course, like with any new project, there have been some challenges along the way.
Figuring out logistics, deciding on a theme, designing a logo, and learning the ropes of marketing and social media have been part of the process. Balancing our schedules and staying consistent, especially with life being so busy, has also been a learning curve.
One thing we’ve been really intentional about is making sure our friendship stays the priority while running this podcast together. That’s been key to keeping everything fun and lighthearted. At the end of the day, the challenges have been small compared to the excitement of building something that resonates with others. It’s been such a rewarding experience!

She’s known for her friendly, approachable vibe and the way she makes the home-buying process feel less stressful and more exciting. Sha Raye:
Sha Raye works in psychology, focusing on making opportunities more accessible and creating spaces where everyone feels seen and supported. She’s passionate about empowering others and driving positive change, especially when it comes to equity and inclusion. What makes her proud is knowing her work helps people feel like they belong and can thrive.
