Hi Tiffany, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am a dual career registered nurse and real estate agent. I’ve always had dreams of being a real estate investor, so I decided to get my real estate license. Especially after watching a lot of HGTV. It looked like something fun, and I thought to myself I can do that. I had no clue about the Real Estate industry, which is why I decided to get my license first, in an effort to learn more about the industry. I am a native of the state of Georgia and moved here six years ago. As soon as we settled in Maryland, I knew I had to activate my dream. I have been a real estate agent now going on six years as well. My primary focus is residential sales to first time homebuyers. I am proud to work with Cummings & Co Realtors. This brokerage is a locally owned business that covers the DMV area.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would say overall it has been a smooth process with a couple of bumps on the road. I don’t think anything in life is a smooth path always. When I initially got my license, I started with a brokerage I will not name. It was a prominent brokerage that just wasn’t a good fit for me. During this time, I had to really research and try to find a different brokerage that would cater more to my specific needs. I was able to find that in NextHome Leaders. I’d say a lot of people believe being a Realtor is easy. those who are in the industry realize that statement is not true. There’s a lot of things required to be a successful Realtor and one that is sustainable. The industry itself is oversaturated with Realtors so you can imagine the competition just out of sheer supply and demand. To stand out amongst all the other realtors is something special. I think initially moving to a new city it definitely was hard to establish myself in the industry. However, I’ve always been a people person, and Like meeting/talking to others. I’d say the key for me has been just that, meeting new people, treating others the way I’d want to be treated, and dedication.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Real Estate Solutions LLC.?
As a Realtor, I decided to create my own LLC. My company name is Real Estate Solutions LLC and we also do business as Best Darn Realtor. As a Realtor, you find yourself getting into multiple layers of the real estate industry. My business focuses on at first time homebuyers. We specialize in education about generational, wealth and how, home ownership is a great first step toward that goal. We also specialize in helping individuals learn how to purchase a house with a little to no money down payment. As a matter of fact, I have an e-book: It’s easy!! No money Down How to Purchase a House. This book focuses on all the resources available to first time homeowners to assist with down payment and closing cost. As a company we also work with investors, we work in acquisitions to help individuals acquire and sell property. We also provide interior/staging services, consultative services, research and development in real estate, and investments.
What sets us apart from others is the fact that we really care about helping others create generational well through home ownership, especially for those who are marginalized in consider disadvantage.
There are so many ways to leverage your home ownership, and I feel many people are unaware of that advantage. Now more and more than ever it has become extremely difficult for many people to pursue home ownership. Our goal is to help individuals understand the importance and actually Achieve their dream of homeownership.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
I think what makes me happy The most is being true to myself. Along with that, I would say being able to touch people in a way that is helpful and meaningful in their lives. I know it’s cliché, but when you help others, you truly do help yourself in the same token.
