Hi Siani, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Absolutely. My journey began in 2018, a year that turned out to be quite transformative for me. I was involved in a severe car accident, and the impact caused the airbag to explode right in my face. The damage to my skin was significant, and I found myself facing not only physical pain but also the emotional struggle of dealing with my appearance. Determined to improve my condition, I took it upon myself to research and learn about skin healing techniques. Through a lot of trial and error, I managed to heal my skin and reduce the scarring. This personal experience ignited a deep passion for esthetics within me.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It certainly hasn’t been a smooth road. The path to where I am today has been filled with its fair share of struggles. After my car accident, the process of healing my skin was just the beginning. Although it was empowering to take control of my own recovery, it was also a challenging and emotional experience.
When I transitioned from education into the professional world, there were new obstacles to tackle. For instance, establishing my own practice involved navigating the complexities of setting up a business—everything from finding the right location to managing finances and marketing myself.
One of the most significant challenges has been building a client base from scratch. While I had a foundation of skills and positive feedback, transitioning those into a steady flow of clients required a lot of networking and perseverance.
Also, balancing the creative aspects of my work with the administrative responsibilities of running a business has been a learning curve. There’s always a lot to juggle, and it’s taken time to find the right balance.
We’ve been impressed with The fansi brand, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Of course! I am the proud owner and lead esthetician at The Fansi Brand, where we offer a range of specialized services, including full-body and facial waxing, vajacials, and facials for both men and women. The name The Fansi Brand is pronounced like “The Fancy Brand,” but it’s spelled with an “si” to reflect my name, Siani, which is a personal touch that connects to my identity and passion for this work.
What truly sets The Fansi Brand apart is our commitment to creating a comfortable, personalized experience for each client. We specialize in not just providing exceptional esthetic services but also ensuring that every client feels completely at ease. My approach is to focus on making people feel confident and pampered, so they leave feeling not just refreshed but genuinely uplifted.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is to trust in a God, have faith, and believe in yourself. It might sound like something all the time, but it honestly resonates with me. When I was contemplating leaving my previous position, I wrote a resignation letter with no specific end date. I felt deeply that I was ready for a change, so I prayed over that letter day after day for months, seeking guidance. I experienced a lot of stress and uncertainty during this transition period, but maintaining faith and trust in the process helped me navigate through it. I learned that if you feel something strongly in your heart, and you have faith, things often work out in ways you might not initially foresee. My confidence in myself has grown tremendously, and my client base has been expanding steadily.
Looking back, I wish I had started this journey sooner. The growth and positive feedback that I’ve received in such little time has been incredibly encouraging. While there have been lows, each challenge has made the successes even more rewarding. I’m genuinely excited to see where my business will go in the years to come and I’m optimistic about the future. The journey has reaffirmed that with faith and perseverance, you can achieve great things.
