Today we’d like to introduce you to Dana Bloeser
Hi Dana, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I have always had a passion for hair and makeup ever since I was a young girl. I used to play around with my mom’s beauty products trying out different looks. By the time I was thirteen I was already doing hair and makeup for my sister’s friends for special occasions like homecomings and proms. I pursued this interest further by attending cosmetology school during high school and I have been a licensed cosmetologist since 2015- After graduating I started working on weddings proms and Halloween events. In 2021 I joined the Swept LLC team to specialize in bridal hair and makeup. While working with Swept I decided to also branch out and create a brand for myself and thus DB beauty was born.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
For the most part yes, however nothing is perfect! I’ve always struggled with being my harshest critic. I think having a mindset of always wanting to learn helps though because this industry is ever changing.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a hairstylist and makeup artist with Swept LLC. I also offer makeup and hair services through my small business DB Beauty. I’m currently specializing in bridal hair and makeup. I’m most proud of how far I’ve come in this industry. I’ve went from helping my sister’s friends with their proms and homecomings at the age of 13 to today having my work shown in Baltimore Weddings Magazine. And I hope to go even further! I’m always open to learning and growing.

She gave me a chance and has given me so many opportunities that I will forever be grateful for. She has helped me grow into the bridal hairstylist and makeup artist I am today. She is such a boss babe I love her so much.
Crystal Swinder – owner at Browtender LLC
Since I met Crystal in 2017 I have looked up to her as a businesswoman and person. Because of her, I was inspired to create my own business. She is the most genuine and hardest working person I know. She has saved me and supported me in more ways than one. I love her dearly.
My friends and family have always supported me when I didn’t believe in myself. They’ve always helped motivate me with any ideas I’ve had and pushed me to be the best. I owe them everything.
My boyfriend Alan is my #1 cheerleader. He’s always up early with me every wedding weekend helping me prep my kits and moving them to my car. He is always building me up when I’m beating myself down. I don’t know what I’d ever do without him.
