Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Growing up, I was always in the kitchen helping my mom and aunts cook; never really taking it too seriously or caring to take tips. Then I got to college, and after a while the dining halls were just not cutting it for me. I started cooking meals for my friends & I in our dorm kitchens, and they were actually good! That became a routine part of our hang outs, and this gave me the confidence to experiment with new dishes and share my dishes on social media. A few reels later, and I started receiving a lot of positive feedback. People started inquiring about how they could purchase food from me and what services I was offering. I wasn’t sure if I was necessarily ready to monetize my hobby, but I seen the opportunity and decided to make a business page. I continued to create content and share my recipes, and gradually people started to book me for events and meal prep. It’s been about four years now since launching “Doses of Denise” and I am incredibly grateful to my clients, community, and God for allowing me to pursue my passion full-time.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the most significant challenges I faced as a business owner was taking that leap of faith. When I first started “Doses of Denise,” I was also working full-time as a project coordinator. As the business began to grow, I found myself torn between investing time into building something new and maintaining what I had already worked hard to establish. It required a great deal of juggling and hard work to reach a point where I could dedicate all my focus to my business.

I founded ‘Doses of Denise’ with a mission to go beyond traditional culinary services by crafting exceptional dining experiences through personalized meal prep, catering, private chef services, and event decor. What sets me apart is my unwavering commitment to quality and creativity, ensuring each client receives a memorable dining experience tailored to their unique preferences. Whether I’m designing personalized meal plans for busy professionals, curating exquisite menus for special events, or transforming spaces with elegant decor, I take pride in delivering exceptional service. What I’m most proud of brand-wise is my consistent ability to exceed expectations and build lasting client relationships. I’m here to make every occasion special and delicious!

What matters most to me is growth—both personal and professional. Growth allows me to continuously improve my skills, expand my knowledge, and evolve as a chef and business owner. It’s about pushing boundaries, taking on new challenges, and striving for excellence in everything I do.
