My journey into the world of permanent jewelry-making has been nothing short of magical! It all started with a TikTok video from a friend, showcasing her own adventure with everlasting bling. I was instantly hooked! The allure of forever jewelry was too irresistible to ignore. Making the bold decision to transform from a mere admirer to a proud business owner led me to a warm and supportive community. Through masterclasses, Zoom calls, and uplifting support groups, I not only discovered my passion but also gained a circle of lifelong friends. It was in those moments that I realized I had made the perfect choice with permanent jewelry. And now, I proudly present Shine On Links, offering everlasting jewelry to all the fabulous folks across Baltimore City and the state of Maryland! Let the sparkle never fade in Charm City!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My venture has had peaks and valleys, however I have gained stronger faith and also a new found self confidence. As a first generation, black entrepreneur I have faced imposter syndrome, feeling out a place in these spaces, which has allowed me to seek a more mindful and abundant way of thinking. To believe in myself and to rely on my higher power and self. I have found that at any age you can do whatever you put your mind to as long as you change the way you think. When you start at the heart of why you are doing something everything else will fall into place. I found my why is my daughters and empowering people around me. In every link I hope to pass on the confidence of self.

All jewelry pieces are clasp-free for a timeless and seamless aesthetic but the Welder is where the magic happens. This compact unit holds as many powers as the sun and with one zap you have a look you created, holding such a powerful tool and mastering this craft has enlightened me. I think that is why I love the art of jewelry making, you can take some of this and some of that and create whatever you imagined but without the sun or light it would not be complete. Shine On Links is a reminder to just be you because your power is in your light, I dream to spread that message to all of my current and future sun shines or people I have the opportunity to meet. My most known pieces have been bracelets and anklets with the Angel Number Connector, it is just a reminder to keep your eye on the prize or that we aren’t alone, also one of my favorites as well, I have an anklet with the number 444 a reminder of protection. I am most proud of myself, that I didn’t let fear stop me and that even beyond my fear I am pushing to prosper as a black entrepreneur and as a black business owner, which to me is a pretty big deal.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Mindset plays a crucial role in everything it seems. For me, God, Family and Love are the driving forces behind my actions, shaping who I am and providing me with a purpose to not just survive but thrive daily. A successful individual to me is honest, values others as themselves, and strives for excellence. I believe excellence is a habit that is cultivated through daily practice. I am doing my best to be my most authentic self and to show up as her in all aspects of my life. Successful people in my opinion understand that taking care of others leads to being cared for in return, and when you prioritize hard work and keep faith first, things tend to fall into place as they should.
