Today we’d like to introduce you to Thomas Phillips
Thomas, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
So my story is . I’m currently a United States Marine I grew up the DMV area as all my family are up and down the coast. As you can imagine/know there’s a lot of things to get into here in Maryland some good and some bad. I had seen many of my friends /family / counterparts go away to either Jail or passed away over things that could have been avoided. So I decided to switch the narrative and make something of myself … my job in the Marines is cyber security IT. And I’m currently a career counselor here also in Maryland I volunteered to come back out here from active duty to be an example and show young adults that there are other avenues to success and ways to make money to be able to accomplish your goals without tarnishing your name… it’s a lot that goes into the story but that’s the gist of it.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s been a rough but smooth road… smooth because it made me into the man I am today but also rough because I was stuck in my ways for a long time I knew what I wanted but I thought I could do everything my way and reality showed me other wise so just like google maps tells you , I had to re route lol
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Currently a cyber security communications analyst that’s is on recruiting duty for the Marines. I’m known for being a Marine… I have two side businesses which I’m proud of and mostly know for staying healthy and helping others achieve their full
Potential goals in life along with their fitness goals. I’m most proud of taking a person in one situations and getting them on a better situation and seeing wverything we talked about come to life.
How do you think about happiness?
A lot of different thing makes me happy just depends on the day and the vibes … helping others makes me happy because of the fact that I’ve made a change in the world and that’s something no one can ever take from you and it never gets old.
