Today, we’d like to introduce you to Jaiden Daniels.
Jaiden, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
When I was 10 years old, I had an interest in makeup; from making makeup tutorials on YouTube to practicing with my mom, my love for makeup grew.
The Beauty Dungeon started back in 2019 with me creating skincare & cosmetics & I wasn’t sure if providing makeup services was in my future. But in 2022 & 2023, my passion for fashion and makeup artistry grew, so I decided to share my craft & I’m more than happy that I did!
Let’s dig deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Creating a business from the ground up is never easy, but some of the challenges I’ve faced are gaining clientele and marketing.
Being a new face in the makeup industry, I’ve learned that it takes time, and as long as I stay consistent and motivated, I’ll be successful! Learning from and taking advice from more experienced MUAs also helps.
I appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a makeup artist here in Baltimore, Maryland. I specialize in all makeup services! From major services such as bridal parties and fashion shows to prom and everyday glams.
The Beauty Dungeon is known for our Signature Glam and the eclectic, fun decor found in our suite, located at North Charles Street 21218. As a beginner MUA, I’m most proud of the number of fashion shows I’ve been a part of. To be behind the scenes and feel the adrenaline/excitement of the models and then to see my work in action on the runway, it’s amazing to see.
What sets me apart from other MUAs is the experience and lasting impression I leave on my clients. Having good conversation and good energy while I’m servicing my clients brings more comfort once they sit in my chair!
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
When it comes to luck and my business, there has been nothing but good. From me being in certain settings because of my work I’ve been receiving even more opportunities, building relationships with other service providers, and constantly learning new techniques which are bettering my craft.
That also pertains to my life. Being in certain settings and being involved, I’ve received many opportunities, whether furthering my education or building my career.
