Life & Work with Reese Jones

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Reese Jones.

Reese Jones

Hi Reese, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
This all began as a “personal development” project.

I wanted to see myself through the eyes of everyone else. Receiving compliments is something we all can appreciate, but how much do we really believe them? So, 8 years ago, I took a leap of faith, which became the beginning of a project… turned lifestyle.

Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Modeling has been such a beautiful experience. Meeting new people, creating, learning, and bonding with some of the dopest artists, musicians, photographers, videographers, and creatives fuels me. It gets challenging when life does that thing we call “life-ing.”

My photos are my stories. I use my storytelling skills to convey my personal life experiences. So, even in the moments when I feel low, being in front of the camera illuminates my strength, my resilience, and my power.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a multifaceted creative. More recently known as a model and blogger. More commonly known as a creative manager, event curator/coordinator, self-help & wellness consultant and loctitian to date. I am most proud of every creative venture I have ever embarked on. Each aspect is different from the other but rooted in the same love & intentionality. I thrive best in work that is sacred to me and resourceful to others.

Creating this platform for myself has allowed me to give a voice to not only my feelings but those of many others. I write as a reminder that we are all on this life journey together. Community is what motivates me to push forward. I often hear, “You are a light,” & my response is always, “You are my reflection.”

What was your favorite childhood memory?
The 90s in the summer was a TIME! I will never forget hearing the ice cream truck come down the street, and my grandfather would jump up from the kitchen table, yell for me to come with him, and scurry to the front porch to flag it down.

We’d get vanilla ice cream cones with rainbow sprinkles. & yes, it is still my favorite simple ice cream flavor!
