Today, we’d like to introduce you to Arleshia McGirt.
Arleshia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
When I was just ten years old, my parents gifted me the Polaroid 2000, a magical one-stop camera. The thrill of capturing life’s fleeting moments and watching the prints develop instantly ignited my love for photography. Little did I know that this humble beginning would shape my future. Fast forward to college—I graduated from Winston Salem State University with a Bachelor’s in Mass Communications.
Armed with knowledge and creativity, I embarked on my photography journey. While I dabbled in various areas, I found my true calling in wedding, maternity, and lifestyle photography. These genres allowed me to weave stories, freeze emotions, and create timeless memories. Caring and thoughtfulness are at the core of my approach. When working with clients, I don’t just capture images; I strive to breathe life into their stories. Whether it’s a couple’s wedding day or the anticipation of a new family member, I pour my heart into every frame. And if you need that extra encouragement to reveal your best self, consider me your cheerleader—I’ll help you shine! Above all, I’m grateful to GOD for guiding my path.
I wouldn’t have transformed my passion into a fulfilling profession without divine inspiration. So, whether you’re stepping into parenthood or dancing down the aisle, trust that I’ll encapsulate this phase of your life with timeless beauty.
Remember, every click of the shutter tells a story that becomes a cherished legacy for future generations.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As a photographer and business owner, I have navigated a unique blend of creativity and entrepreneurship. While capturing beautiful moments is your passion, managing the business side can be challenging. Here are some common struggles I faced as a photographer:
When I began my business, I struggled with effective marketing services and reaching my target audience. Once, I understood my niche I connected with the right audience.
Work-life balance is something else I had to learn. As a business owner, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. I had to learn how to successfully organize my workflow, prioritize tasks, and delegate when possible. Also, set boundaries to maintain a healthy work-life balance. In addition to remembering, taking care of myself allows me to better serve my clients and loved ones.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a wedding and portrait photographer; my artistry transforms ordinary scenes into extraordinary memories. Launching my own photography business was no small feat. It was defiantly a leap of faith, fueled by passion and determination. I turned my love for photography into a thriving venture—a canvas where stories unfold. My journey from that first DSLR camera to today’s professional endeavors is a testament to your resilience.
But what truly sets me apart? It’s the heartfelt connection I forge with my clients. I don’t merely capture images; I breathe life into their dreams. My lens becomes an extension of their vision—a vessel for their love stories, family bonds, and personal milestones.
The Extra Mile – I go beyond the technicalities. I listen, empathize, and understand. Whether it’s a nervous bride or a glowing mother-to-be, I’m there—guiding, encouraging, and celebrating alongside them. My commitment to their photography vision is unwavering.
Legacy in Pixels – And so, as I frame each shot, remember that I’m not just capturing pixels; I’m etching timeless legacies. Generations will look back at your work—the stolen kisses, the tearful vows, the laughter echoing through generations. My artistry becomes their heritage.
