Today we’d like to introduce you to Jailyn Gibson.
Hi Jailyn, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I started my clothing business in 2021 after I realized I have a love for fashion, dressing up, and finding cute affordable pieces. For over two years, I built a name for my brand and built up loyal customers who continue to come back and shop with me. Fast forward to today, I have completely revamped and created a new image for my brand.
I now focus on athletic and activewear. Over the past year, I have lost a great amount of weight, became a fitness influencer, and recently introduced fitness training sessions. Which mainly prompted the rebrand. I supply amazing quality workout gear and on-the-go comfortable outfits that can be worn on many occasions.
I also have created workout routines, meal prep & weight loss guides! Now, my main focus is perfecting my craft as much as I can while also providing knowledge to others, providing amazing quality products, and last but not least motivating others!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a rocky road I will say. When it comes to being an entrepreneur as a whole you will face so many setbacks and run into problems that will make you question yourself.
I’ve struggled with keeping myself going and motivated sometimes. But I remember that consistency and discipline are key in the long run. The results that I wanted required discipline.
We’ve been impressed with Bodied By Jay + The Bodied Collection, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My first business, Bodied by Jay is a brand I’ve created after losing 50+ lbs in a short period of time. This business consists of me being a fitness influencer and fitness trainer. Supplying weight loss guides, meal prep idea plans, workout guides, and more.
My second business The Bodied Collection is a clothing brand made up of high quality womens athletic and activewear. Including two-piece sets, bras, shorts, and jumpsuits.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5-10 years I hope to grow my business, expand and reach new exposures.
I have plans to get my certified personal training license in the next year. I also have plans to expand my clothing brand and start selling waist trainers as well as other workout products.
