Community Highlights: Meet Jessica Weikert of Revolt Style Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Weikert.

Jessica Weikert

Hi Jessica, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My love for vintage began through my interest in affordable, eco-friendly fashion. As my vintage collection began to grow, I began doing pop-ups around the region, participating in area fairs, and festivals.

I always wanted to open up my store, so in June of 2016, I made the leap and opened a brick-and-mortar location! Located in historic downtown York, PA, our retail location features an ever-changing collection of vintage clothing, accessories & home goods as well as handmade & artisan goods by local & American designers & makers.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have certainly been struggles!

Being a solo-entrepreneur of a 260ish sqft store has had its ups and downs, but luckily we’ve been able to weather the storms. I have a wonderful community surrounding me that supports us and encourages our mission.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Revolt Style Studio?
Revolt Style Studio features a curated selection of vintage clothing, accessories & home goods. Vintage items available from Revolt Style Studio are unique, often handmade or designer, quality goods spanning several decades & styles. Our clothing selection is a mixture of eclectic statement pieces & versatile everyday wear with a focus on wearable vintage that can be incorporated into a modern wardrobe.

I also founded 717 Vintage Fest, a weekend-long vintage-only vendor market featuring unique curated clothing, accessories, home decor & more for all genders, all ages, and from all decades. 717 Vintage Fest features a selection of the region’s most established and up-and-coming vintage stores and independent vendors.

Each store’s brand focus offers diverse styles of vintage clothing, accessories, home decor, furniture, vinyl, collectibles, & more, ranging from early 20th-century pieces to in-demand Y2K items and everything in between.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you, or support you?
I love collaboration & finding new venues to express my creativity! My favorite way of collaborating is styling for shoots. If you have any ideas or just want to work with us in general, feel free to DM us on Instagram.
