Today we’d like to introduce you to Keona Foreman.
Hi Keona, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up, I always loved capturing moments through my young eyes. My passion for photography started at sixteen.
I became known as the friend who takes pictures of everything. Years later, I became a mother, and it taught me how to love every moment. Therefore, taking pictures of my children every day was when I realized my passion for photography. I understand that everyone is unique in their way. Behind the camera, I look for priceless moments, a smile, a tear, or a glance of expression. These are things that drive my passion.
Today, I travel domestically and internationally, averaging five weddings per year, ministry events, entrepreneur events, and a host of studio sessions.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Smooth road? No. While I have been blessed to be on this journey, I have made many mistakes. Many of my mistakes came from making tough business decisions, like trusting people who didn’t have my best interest at heart.
My advice would be to find a mentor and consult as often as you can. Share your goals and get an understanding of your strengths and weaknesses so that you know where you’re headed.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are based in the Southern New Jersey area, inspired to create memories of real-life portraits and events. Our philosophy is art is not what you see but what you make others see!
Our style of photography is influenced by fine art. We service lifestyle, ministry, portraits, and weddings. We would love to help you express yourself through a unique lens. I am most proud of my ability to connect with my clients and pull expressions out from the camera.
What sets me apart from others has been my client experience. I take joy in making sure my clients are happy, and I often receive referrals from them, which has allowed my business to grow.
What makes you happy?
For me, photography makes me happy because I can see things others can not.
I can feel more looking at an image than I can at a set of words. Photography either takes me to a memory, helps me notice the world, or stays in the moment. I truly love what I do!
