Today we’d like to introduce you to Sophie Cohen.
Sophie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
As someone who began their career in a very corporate setting, I always knew I wanted to work directly with people and help them attain their goals. I decided to pursue my real estate license when I was 24 while working full-time. After several years of working in national-level brokerages, I noticed a void when it came to customer service.
These companies were more concerned with meeting their monthly quotas than they were about their clients. I knew that treating my clients like family would lead to that growth organically. That’s what inspired me to get my broker’s license and start my brokerage in 2017.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Although the road has not always been smooth, every bump came with a valuable lesson to be learned.
I struggled with wanting to put my all into growing my business and wanting to spend as much time with my young children as possible. Learning to balance the two often came with challenges.

Valley Realty was formed on the premise of treating others the way you would want to be treated. We do not work off of monthly quotas like the national-level brokerages.
We know that if we provide the highest level of service, our business will grow organically through positive reviews and references. We are woman and mom owned and pride ourselves in acknowledging that each transaction is unique and requires a specialized approach.
How do you define success?
Success is feeling good at the end of the day. Knowing you have helped someone else achieve their goals and dreams.
