Life & Work with Linda Biggs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Linda Biggs.

Linda Biggs

Hi Linda, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Ahhhh… WELL… I have been an artist my entire life. 30 plus years ago, I began the “Professional Artist Journey” which in itself is a long and windy tale. Jumping into the Cannabis Space was accidental! Like, I was in an accident and that got me to where I am today. In 2012, I was in a severe car crash. The crash left me disabled and shattered. I was left with severe Spine Trauma, living in Chronic Pain and barely able to walk, along with a TBI and I had to learn life all over again. Cognitive therapy is just to write my name and form sentences and try and make coffee.

That is where my real story begins.

A friend brought me a baggie of “Black Market Weed” at the time, and I had never used Cannabis. I was insulted and tossed it aside. A few weeks later, I did some research and thought what do I have to lose, and made Canna Butter. The moment I used it life started to melt into place. A few months later, I made RSO suppositories and my friends changed my life. It dulled the pain enough so I was able to heal. I was able to walk again. With each small improvement, my life got a little better.

Then about a year into it, I had to RE-TEACH myself how to paint. And miraculously it worked. That is when I decided to put my art on Canna-related products in 2016 and that is how I got here…

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
YES, it has been a smooth road. I mean it is all been a mindset, I started with nothing, so what did I have to lose? It was challenging but so much incredible fun, learning, and just 100% OH MY GOODNESS all the way.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Fantasy Artist. That is lowbrow ART. Not mainstream at all. I paint Fairies and swirly rainbow themes. All of my art is truly a moment in my life turned into a colorful display.

My medium is watercolors. Some say watercolors are difficult, but for me, it’s all I know. In this process, I created “Fairieland” which is all my art is themed and I call my studio “Fairieland” as well.

I am most proud of our website, It is clean and pretty and it showcases my art all in one place. It explains the process of how and why I paint. We created lots of fun products with my art on them and that is where our collection presents to the world.

I tend to push envelopes. I mean I don’t paint fruit in a basket, nor do I paint just cannabis plants. I paint all aspects of feminine energy in wild colors and some of my art is quite sassy with Cannabis assets.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
Living in the county I like all the lush greenery and hiking trails. We are very fortunate to live close to the mountains and the beach and so many activities in between. I grew up in Towson and I think Maryland has so much to offer. I think my favorite fun spots are Hampden and the entire Falls Road area.

Regarding liking the least – I don’t know. I’ve seen things come and go. However, right now some of my old stomping grounds look a little tired. That is an ebb and flow thing and I think because I am older I notice that kind of change. Hopefully, they will get revitalized.
