Today we’d like to introduce you to Foday Sillah.
Hi Foday, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Born in Freetown, Sierra Leone on March 5, 1994, to a Chiefdoms family and later moved to DC at the age of 8 and was raised in Northern Virginia. Played soccer throughout my childhood and teenage years. Later turned professional as a soccer player and broke my leg.
After it healed, was asked to be an extra in a commercial for a soccer shoot. Continue to get books for commercials and later got cast for a talk show called WakeUp Uncensored on IMDb Tv. Which led to TV bookings like We Own the City.
I also started doing fashion shows. And have ended up in NYFW, LAFW, ChFW, and Miami Swim Week. And I kept in shape by kickboxing and recently turned professional in boxing. Making my debut in 2021, in South Carolina.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been smooth, mostly scheduling is a problem since I do so many things.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am mostly known for modeling and being a talk show host. Even though I also box and am a Creative Director.
People mostly know me for modeling. I think what sets me apart is my mind and the way I see the world. Am constantly thinking of this to create and be a part of. Got me life is a big adventure and I plan to enjoy every bit of it.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I usually never disliked a place. Like the food and people. Great vibes.
