Today we’d like to introduce you to Caneia Jefferson.
Hi Caneia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
My story behind my journey.
I always wanted to model but I always thought it was an age or height thing because of my height. So I started off as a tattoo model to see where it would get me instead it took me far, I didn’t think this far into it because I never really saw myself as a model.
I went through phases with creative directors and videographers are that it was easier to take the criticism I was getting and put it into my poses, faces, facial expressions, and styles. I studied everything I needed to know and I’m still learning and willing to know more than I do now just to be amazing. I want to be better I want my photos to better show how I transitioned photo after photo.
My tattoos are my masterpiece I started with a blank canvas and now I’m a coloring book. With every tattoo, I have expressed myself emotionally, mentally, and physically in my 3 big art pieces. I was able to be me without anyone changing my outer image.
I am a reflection of myself and I make sure to put my all into anything I get into so I will not back down from a challenge. I think this is my opportunity to fully express that just because I am small doesn’t mean I can’t and or won’t be seen.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I’ve had some bumps and hick-ups in the road along the way, but it never stopped me. I had people in my ear telling me I’m too small or I can’t do it because I don’t look a certain way or my body doesn’t fit the criteria.
I mean look at me I’m very petite I don’t know why people wanted to take that confidence from me because I had nothing and I made myself into someone and something positive. I learned it’s not how my body looks or how big or small the question was can I do it will I make this something positive in my life.
Yes, yes, it is and I am loving every minute of it.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a traveling bartender, and female tattoo artist, I do lashes, hair, bottle service, I sell cocktails I model I am a video girl. I am the jack of all trades. I am proud of everything I tapped into business-wise but the greatest of them all was my bartending.
It made me who I am and it pushed me out of my comfort zone it taught me a lot about what I can fix or change about myself and how can k make it positive and put it back into what I have going on so I made cocktails that are expressed off of emotions with a bunch of liquor and colors.
Each layer of my cocktails is a mood changer.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Luck? I think this wasn’t lucking it was hard work and dedication that beat the odds.
People told me, I couldn’t I pushed myself till I could and became great and amazing now I don’t see criticism because all of what they said about me or my brand and business showed for itself. I got booked more I went from 5 bookings to booking every month maybe double-booked sometimes.
I have ads and everything so even if you don’t want to tune in you will as long as it’s in front of you or on a screen near you.
